Bumbo time!

At our doctor's appt on Monday, October 11, 2010 we got an update on Khalil's stats. His head is 16 3/4 (50%), length 24 1/2 inches (30%) and weight 16.3 lbs (70%). This was the worst doctor's appt ever. Khalil started screaming before the doctor could exam him. He was no where near shots and was screaming already. I have no idea what was wrong with the kid. Maybe he knew what was coming. I bounced him and held him while trying to talk to the doctor and he just kept going nonstop. I was quite shocked. He had been such a trooper last time. I finally got him quiet before the nurse came in. But of course when she stuck him not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 times, his screaming resumed. "Goodness gracious," was all I could say. Furthermore, the doctor said he could start cereal. He has been so interested in our food that I was happy to hear this news. So the next day I fed him some rice cereal around 5 or 6pm. He was up screaming all night long. I'm pretty sure I saw every hour on the clock. He finally used the bathroom at around 10am this morning. My conclusions are that he had a major stomachache and possible constipation. I'm still awaiting a call back from the doctor. I have decided that his digestive system isn't ready for cereal and we will try again at 5 months. Needless to say I didn't go to work, which is why I have time to blog.
