6 oz per week!

I was reading in What to Expect When You're Expecting and was told that starting this week (week 23) Khalil would gain 6oz per week. I forget how long this will last. I think til the 34th week or so. Although I'm excited for him, I'm nervous for myself. I have to carry all this weight around! According to the book, I should be gaining 1lb each week. I'm already getting breathless doing daily activities, ie climbing stairs. All I could do was shake my head when I read this shocking news. I wonder how much he and I will weigh in the end.

I've started having dreams about what he would look like. I tease Doug by saying, "I hope he is as cute as his mother." I bet he is going to be so much fun. I've also read recently that babies whose moms workout while pregnant have higher IQs. If that's not motivation to keep exercising I don't know what is! I've started prenatal yoga and I love it. It helps keep me flexible and relaxed. It's getting harder to motivate myself to go to the gym though. I'm starting to feel tired in the afternoons. However, when I force myself to go, I get enough energy to make it the rest of the day without crashing before bedtime. I hope I can keep it up at least 3 to 4 times each week.
